Palate: An initial complex rich spicy hit followed by apple sauce

Finish: Delicate and lengthy, maintaining the exotic spice with a fruity rounded finish

Nose: An elegant and well balanced blend of creamed coconut, butterscotch with vanilla and pineapple

Palate: Fruity layers of apricot and baked apple and plums with vanilla cream

Finish: A fine finish with the gentle fruits giving way to crème brulee

About this Mythical Beasts release

This Single Malt was moved into a Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask for finishing. PX is an intensely sweet and dark sherry, which complimented the Tormore perfectly. The PX cask underwent a special process called New Era Of Cask (NEOC). This process brought out the full flavour profiles of the sherry cask into the whisky. We are the first company to ever use this process in Scotch whisky.

About Nyami Nyami

The clear blue waters of the River Spey flow steadily through the rolling landscape of Speyside, their currents steeped in old stories and forgotten legends. Beneath the surface moves Nyami Nyami, the great river spirit, gliding through the depths with quiet power. In myth he is a guardian and provider, a being whose supernatural strength brings nourishment, prosperity, and protection to those who live along the water’s edge, keeping dark forces at bay when times grow uncertain.

Yet the tale of Nyami Nyami is not without sorrow. Forever searching the winding rivers for his lost companion, the great spirit roams the waters in restless solitude. When angered, he needs only the flick of his great serpent tail to stir the earth itself, sending waves crashing against the banks and reminding all of the force that lies beneath the calm. Smooth, powerful, and full of hidden depth, this whisky carries the character of the river god, complex, commanding, and leaving a lasting impression long after the final sip.
