Tomatin 11 Year Old Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark chocolate truffles and espresso, then prunes, apricots and underlying walnuts, continues with honey and tiramisu.
Palate: Ultra-delicate mouthfeel, gentle sweetness extends with richness, then underlying dryness joins in; creamy vanilla and espresso macchiato drive the palate, luscious prunes and apricots add indulgent top notes. Underlying dryness, oak and tiramisu rise up into the top notes giving a full-bodied finale.
Finish: Dried fruit richness underlined by gentle oak and digestive biscuit maltyness, followed by hints of prunes and dark chocolate.
Adding a few drops of water integrates the nose into a tightly knit package of coffee, apricots, honey and oak, while the palate sees a distinct increase in the level of oak and dryness beneath apricots and prunes, with chocolate truffles spanning the entire palate.
