Our Sonic Spirit Guide: Luke La Volpe
At Spiritfilled, we are all really into our music. We love discovering new artists and songs, we geek-out discussing up and coming bands, reading new music reviews and sharing our experiences from gigs and festivals.
So we were incredibly excited to meet Scottish singer Luke La Volpe in Edinburgh last year, and delighted when he agreed to perform at our recent whisky and cheese event in the city. His timeless, velvety voice and poignant song-writing truly warmed our souls - just listen to Terribly Beautiful for starters, it really takes you to another place.
And, it turns out, he’s also one of the loveliest guys we’ve ever met. Luke told us the most beautiful stories about his grandfather, a musician and singer himself, and how they would talk for hours over a whisky and a soundtrack of legends like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis. Luke’s taken these classic influences, given them his own modern spin and the results are pretty special.
So we are very proud to welcome Luke to the Spiritfilled family as Brand Ambassador, or ‘Sonic Spirit Guide’ as we prefer to call him.
We think Luke’s going places and we’re excited for you to discover his music at some of our own events (more news soon), at Truck Festival in Oxford on July 21st and on his September UK Tour of grassroots venues with Music Venue Trust.
